He later abandoned this style and became one of the most famous rappers in the world. He released his first rap album in 2002 AD, which addressed contemporary issues such as debt and corruption, increasing his fame and making him renowned among the world's top artists.


Daddy Yankee's artistic journey continued with the release of a new album titled "Barrio Fino" in 2004 AD, which received acclaim from audiences. After its release, he was named the best rapper in the world, and he won the American Latin Music Awards, Billboard's Best Album, Latin Billboard, and Latin Grammy awards. In January 2017 AD, he released the song "Despacito" with Luis Fonsi, which achieved tremendous success worldwide and became the most viewed video on YouTube. He then released several solo songs such as "Dura" and "Con Calma." Later in 2019 AD, he released the song "Que Tire Pa Lante," which broke records in the music world and solidified Daddy Yankee as the best rapper after his performance at the biggest music concert.
