James Gips, known as Gims, is a French singer and songwriter, born on May 6, 1986, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He began his musical career as a member of the French hip-hop group "Sexion d'Assaut" in 2002. The band achieved great success, especially with their album "L'École des points vitaux" released in 2010.
After that, Gims embarked on a solo career and released his first album "Subliminal" in 2013, which achieved tremendous success in France and other countries. He continued to present his music with his unique style, blending hip-hop, rap, and pop.
